Copying a paragraph from a phone to a computer sounds simple until the devices use different operating systems or accounts. The best method depends on whether you need a permanent sync, a one-time transfer, or a private way to move sensitive text.

1. Use a browser-based text transfer tool

For a one-time transfer, open JustSendText on the first device, paste the text, and select Share. You receive a short PIN and a link. Open the site on the second device, enter the PIN, and copy the text. This works between Android, iPhone, Windows, macOS, and Linux without installing an app or creating an account.
